Music My Way

Music My Way is a program that teaches aspects of Music that are not really taught in School.  It is a program that taps into the creativity of the students and exercises the right side of the brain.  Aside from instruction in the instrument they have chosen, they can also gain a great deal of confidence, problem solving, and team work by cooperating with a group to create an original piece of Music, then overcoming their fears to perform this song in front of a live audience.

Pupils are awarded points for their achievements in the early sessions that will be compared with the others to determine who comes back for recording sessions later in the year. They will record an Album at our 'Billy Mitchell Studio' and rehearse for a Live Concert to be held at the end of May.  If we are lucky, we may see one or two of these kids go on to a career in music, but the lessons learned by all of these children, through music, will mark them, in a positive way, for the rest of their lives.
